Large Home Grid-Tie + Interactive Battery Backup Solution (XW+)

This project in a central Johannesburg suburb contains a large residential Grid-Tie solar power system using 300W Yingli solar panels and a 3-Phase Schneider Electric 10kW inverter.

To supply the home with a suitable battery backup to select circuits we have installed the newly released (upgraded) Schneider Electric XW+ 7047 inverter. This is a very sophisticated Grid-Interactive inverter/charger. It can also sell energy back into the grid and/or supply solar charge to the batteries or home load. There is enough battery power to run the select loads or a 24 hour period.
